Stop saying Goodbye!

                                      Saying goodbye again.

I left you last week with Kaylob coming home early from Vietnam. Beth Ann was a very happy lady until she sees something in his eyes and he says the words. "I'm going back to Vietnam." Now, he has to tell her that he is only home for seven more days.

*********

The storm outside swelled in waves, matching her mood. He needed to explain what he meant. After all the years of waiting, this would be unbearable. They were engaged and supposed to be getting married. All those promises he’d made to her before he left. No way in hell was he going to Vietnam again.
Okay, she had to breathe. She swallowed, took a deep breath and said, “What do you mean you’re going back?”

Thanks for stopping by. Now I hope you'll check out the official Six Sunday site to find more excellent six-sentences.
